So Freedom writers is about a teacher who gets to teach one of the hardest classes in the school. Nobody from the teachers believes in them, no one but Erin Gruwell. It was hard in the beginning but she teaches them to learn tolerance, apply themselves, and pursue education beyond high school. She earns the respect of them and becomes the most awesome teacher of the school. Only because she believed in them.
The name Freedom Writers is because all of the children in her class have a history, the most terrible things happened to them and she gets them to write it in a journal. They can decide if miss Gruwell can read it or not and surprisingly everyone turns in their journal. Later they make a book with their stories in it. Freedom Writers.
The most amazing thing about this movie is that it's based on a true story. It really touched me and I like to see different cultures and how they struggle with life and stuff. I like to see how people actually make effort to get to know them and not judged them by how they act but get to know them so she understands why they act that way. I liked it and I think it's an amazing movie and an amazing story. Go watch it!
